Several changes have gone into this new version. The main change is the addition of a new function to add the CTI interface to any textarea. This can be used in the WP-Wall plugin, as well as DMSGuestbook and any other plugin that uses a textarea. Yes

HOWEVER

Adding the clickable smileys to the desired textarea does not mean the smiley shorthand will be converted to the graphical smileys! Often, other changes must be made to the plugin containing the textarea. Many plugins, like WP-Wall, call the default WordPress function for converting smilies, so they must be edited to use TSE. I will offer support in making these changes. Just leave a comment or send me an email and I’ll see what needs to be done. Doctor

I have not been able to get TSE to work with MCEComments yet, but I am still trying. I’m certain I will find a solution, but it is proving to be more difficult than I had thought. Dazed
