I filled my gas tank a couple of days ago, and I was quite surprised. Pleasantly surprised. It really looks like the price drops of dimes and nickels are adding up. Before, when I filled my tank, I had to double check my account balance to find out how much I could spend.

When I got to the pump the other day, and regular unleaded was only $2.329, I had a good feeling I wasn’t going to be spending more than $30 for a full tank. I was right. It was awesome.

I know it doesn’t seem like much, but when you drive 46 miles every day to get to work and back home, you tend to notice how often you have to fill your gas tank and how much money you’re been spending.

I had gotten used to spending between $35 and $43 to fill my tank for the week, so to only spend $28.19 is a welcome change.

I know that it’s been going on for a few days, but I had to point something out.

Since McCain’s loss on November 4^th, there have been news stories published regarding claims by anonymous McCain aides that, for sake of summary, Sarah Palin is a total idiot and was the sole reason McCain lost the election.

I’m under the impression that, since her nomination as VP running mate for McCain, she has not been involved in a medically relevant cause of brain damage or mental retardation. What I mean to say is that she was most likely an idiot before she was given the VP nod. Her lack of intelligence is not a new development, nor was it hidden from public view until recently.

My point is that, since Sarah Palin is an idiot and was an idiot before being nominated, then the real idiot must be the one that picked her. The real idiot would be John McCain. McCain’s aides are really saying that McCain is an idiot. Awesome.

As if the amazing poster wasn’t enough, the following video shows the humor of the bad decision made by McCain to nominate Palin as his VP running mate. It’s not that it was a bad decision to nominate a woman, but that it was a bad decision to nominate that woman. Anyway, I went to SpikedHumor last night and saw a video that took geekdom to another level.

I’m not sure what the kid’s name is, but he has created his own instrument as a combination of a baby piano, ukulele, and a kazoo… That’s right… A kazoo! What’s more interesting than the instrument is that he has chosen to cover Europe’s Final Countdown. I’ve posted the video below. Epic.

School locked down after ‘ninja’ sighted in woods

BARNEGAT, N.J. – It’s the case of the nonexistent ninja. Public schools in Barnegat were locked down briefly after someone reported seeing a ninja running through the woods behind an elementary school.

Turns out the ninja was actually a camp counselor dressed in black karate garb and carrying a plastic sword.

Police tell the Asbury Park Press the man was late to a costume-themed day at a nearby middle school.

The lockdown began shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday and lasted until 9:30.
