The new theme that I had chosen is going to require so much editing to get it to where I want it, that I’ve decided – at least for the time being – to revert to my Stained Glass theme. I’m going to continue my revisions of the new theme and hopefully, one day, replace this theme. Until then, Stained Glass remains, and I’ve made it available for download for anyone else who wants a copy.

Please read the post here carefully before downloading, as Stained Glass was designed around the use of specific plugins. You are free to edit the theme however you see fit, and I am offering minimal support for those who wish to use this theme, but don’t expect me to rewrite it for you.

Since I designed this theme for personal use, Stained Glass requires the following plugins – unless you plan on editing the theme to remove these requirements:

5. Smart 404
6. Yet Another Related Posts Plugin

While you are free to do whatever you want with this theme, I highly recommend using the Smart 404 and WP-PageNavi plugins, as they add a lot of functionality to this theme.

I’ve decided on the new theme I’m going to use, but it still needs some minor editing to get it where I want it. So, please be patient as things start to look strange, as I’m working on getting it all sorted out.

I’ve had a heavy feeling about the way my theme has turned out, and I’ve finally decided that I do not like it. Well, I don’t like the flow of it. I think I’ll spend the next few days looking for another theme and just modifying it to fit instead of making my own. I know I’ll have a great idea and put a lot of work into it, only to dislike it later, and that’s just not worth the effort to me.

I’m getting ready to apply a new theme, so by the time anyone reads this it will already be done.

Please note that this theme is a work-in-progress, so I expect some things to be broken. You do not need to comment, since I’m probably aware of what’s wrong before you hit the submit button. Thank you anyway!

Also, since the sidebar has changed, I am also rearranging the widgets and adding a few custom ones that I developed while working on this theme. If things look different from one pageload to another, don’t be alarmed.

One thing I noticed when checking this site for bugs is that, even though I have my comments set up to alternate styles to differentiate one commenter from the next, MY comments didn’t stand out from everyone else’s comments. That just irked me. Why shouldn’t my comments stand out on my own blog?
