Installation

  1. Upload faviconize to the
    /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress.
  3. Upload your favicon (favicon.png or favicon.ico or both) to the WordPress base directory.

What formats are supported?
  1. PNG: The favicon must be named favicon.png and placed in the WordPress base directory.
  2. ICO: The favicon must be named favicon.ico and placed in the WordPress base directory.
  3. PNG and ICO: The favicons must be named favicon.png and favicon.ico and both placed in the WordPress base directory.
Which format should I choose?
  1. PNG: Supported by Firefox, Opera, Safari, and Chrome. IE does not support PNG favicons.
  2. ICO: Supported by all major browsers.
  3. PNG and ICO: RECOMMENDED! Allows higher quality favicons (PNG) in supported browsers, while IE will simply use the ICO favicon.
